Paranormal short story competition

Vampires, werewolves and ghosts frequently occur in paranormal stories, but such stories do not have to be about fantastic beings. People gifted with second sight can often inspire chilling stories. Inanimate objects can become paranormal, such as the mobile phone that sends messages from the dead. Whatever form your paranormal story takes is up to you, and you have 1,500-1,700 words in which to write it.
