Wirral festival Of Firsts - Radio Sitcom/Play Competition 2014

Do you have a brilliant idea for a Radio Sitcom?

Have you a Radio Play that needs an airing?

Then submit your work for this "First" competition

Closing date for submission of scripts: 21st April 2014

Entry: £5 per script.


The Sitcom/play must be no more than 30 minutes, including Opening Titles and Closing Credits

It can be written by one or more people

It must be an original work

It must not have been previously submitted to a Broadcaster

It must be suitable for a pre-Watershed audience

More than one sitcom/play can be submitted

There is a fee of £5 per script.

All submissions will be performed as ‘radio productions’ in front of live audiences in June 2014

Each submission will be adjudicated at those performances

Three will be selected for the final on Saturday 5th July In Melrose Hall, Hoylake, CH47 3BU.

A Commissioning Editor will be invited to the final, and there will be opportunities for winning scripts to be broadcast on 7Waves FM Radio

Email your script/s as an attachment to: Include in the body of your email: your name/s, full contact details (including phone number and email address) and titles of your script/s.

If you require acknowledgement, enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard marked ‘receipt’

Please include your entry fee: £5 per script. Cheques or Postal Orders to be made payable to “Festival of Firsts”
