They are currently accepting essay submissions for Frequencies on a rolling basis.

The best way to have an idea as to what they are looking for is to read an issue and acquaint yourself with the style and type of work that they have in mind (they're looking for "artful essays" that challenge the current non-fiction prescription).

Please send completed submissions to frequencies[at] Essays should be attached as a Word document. Subject line should read "submission - [name of piece]."

Any length is acceptable, though imagined ballpark is 2,000 - 10,000 words.

They do pay for any submissions used.
