The Siobhan Dowd Trust wants to hear from you - £6000 Up for grabs

The Siobhan Dowd Trust wants to hear from you

If your school library could do with a boost in the form of a much needed face lift, new book stock or some professional expertise please get in touch. We are working with THE SCHOOL LIBRARY ASSOCIATION, who will be offering their expertise and contacts and help us judge the schools where some Trust funding would help the most.

We are offering 3 cash prizes – £6,000 and two runner-up awards of £3,000 each.

You need to demonstrate evidence of need, coupled with enthusiasm and a good plan for your library and how it would make a difference to pupils.

Best of all – we’d love to hear from the kids themselves. Please email director@siobhandowdtrust.com with an outline about why and how we could help your school library.

Percentage of pupils on free school meals *

*Sorry, but fee-paying schools are not eligible for entry. We’ve asked about the percentage of pupils on free school meals, a rough guide we know and while schools in leafy areas are not ruled out, we do exist to favour readers from a disadvantaged background.

What we do that’s special (50-250 words please): More information here.
