Dzanc Non-Fiction Prize- Deadline: JUNE 30, 2014

Dzanc Books is pleased to announce submissions are open for our 2013-14 Non-Fiction Award. All authors with a non-fiction manuscript are eligible. Subjects may include but are not limited to memoir, political, historical, biographical, and will be vetted by our Dzanc Books editors. A list of 10 finalists will be named and the winner chosen by Nathan Deuel, author of the forthcoming Friday Was the Bomb: Five Years in the Middle East. Nathan has also contributed essays, fiction, and criticism to The New York Times, The New Republic, Financial Times, GQ, and The Paris Review, among others. In 2013, he was named first runner-up in Ploughshares' annual Emerging Writer contest. Previously, he was an editor at Rolling Stone and The Village Voice.

Fee: $25 (all that enter will receive a copy of the eBook of the winner when it is published as well as a complimentary copy of one of a trio of Dzanc's titles--we will email you the choices upon your entering)

The winning manuscript will be selected by AUG 30, 2014 and the title will be published in the Fall of 2015. It will go through our full editing process and the author will receive a $1500 advance.
