Second Light Poetry Competition for Long and Short Poems by Women 2014 | Deadline 17th June 14

Judge: JACKIE KAY. Deadline Tuesday 17th June 2014. Results by 31st August. 

£300 First Prize for each of Long (no upper limit) and Short (max 50 lines) poem £100 Second Prize (1 poem from either category)£50 Third Prize (1 poem from either category) Commended poets: book prizes 

Winning & Commended Poets published (in full or extract) in ARTEMISpoetry A reading will be organised for winners in London in Autumn 2014.
Entry Fee: ££6 each per long poem. Short poems: £4 each or £9 for 3, £14 for 8.

By Post: TWO COPIES of poems, typed or neatly written on A4 (without your name); a separate contact sheet (name, address, telephone, e-mail address and poem titles); cheque payable to 'Second Light'. Send to Dilys Wood, 3 Springfield Close, East Preston, West Sussex, BN16 2SZ. Include a stamped addressed postcard if you require acknowledgement of receipt.

Send poems in a single attachment (your pen name.doc or your pen name.pdf), tocompetition@secondlightlive.co.uk with Entry (Your Pen Name) in the subject line. Include contact details as above, poem titles & the PAYMENT TRANS. ID in the body of the e-mail only.

Second Light Members are entitled to submit one free entry. Poems on any subject. Must be the unaided work of the writer and must not have been previously published unless in a magazine only.
