Sir Andrew Motion Launches New Poetry Website

Former poet laureate Sir Andrew Motion has launched a new website dedicated to poetry. There are over 1600 poems being read mostly by their authors and they can all be listened to completely free of charge or downloaded to keep for a fee from the Poetry Archive. A real joy for any poetry buff.

Some of the recordings include Spike Milligan reading The Land Of The Bumbly Boo and war poet Siegfried Sassoon's The Dug Out as well as contemporary figures including Carol Ann Duffy.

Recordings may be searched by time period, poet or poem, with biographies of the writers and celebrity recommendations. All downloads cost 89p for individual poems, with albums full of verse costing no more than £9.99. Enjoy!
