TWO SYLVIAS PRIZE - Deadline June 16, 2014.

SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN for our first Two Sylvias Press Chapbook Prize

Winner receives:
His or her chapbook published as both print and eBook

20 copies of the print version for the winner

She is the author of three poetry collections: LUCKY FISH(2011), winner of the gold medal in Poetry from the Independent Publisher Book Awards and the Eric Hoffer Grand Prize for Independent Books; AT THE DRIVE-IN VOLCANO(2007), winner of the Balcones Prize; and MIRACLE FRUIT(2003), winner of the Tupelo Press Prize, ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Award, the Global Filipino Award and a finalist for The Glasgow Prize and the Asian American Literary Award. Her first chapbook, FISHBONE (2000), won the Snail’s Pace Press Prize. Recent honors include a poetry fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Pushcart Prize. GUIDELINES:

· Electronic submissions only.

· 17-24 pages of poetry (not including title page, table of contents, end notes).

· In body of email, include short bio, manuscript title, page length, author's name, address, telephone, email, and acknowledgements of previous published poems, if any.

Attach your manuscript as an MS Word doc or PDF and email to: twosylviaspress@gmail.com
Your name should not appear anywhere in or on the manuscript.
In email subject line include your last name and chapbook title.

· Electronic submissions only.
· Simultaneous submissions accepted.
· Individual poems may be previously published.
· You may enter more than one manuscript, but each manuscript needs its own reading fee.· Any author writing in English is eligible to submit, unless he or she is a current student or former student of the judge.

All entrants will receive an electronic copy of the winning chapbook.
Winner receives $250, and 20 copies of print chapbook. Winning chapbook will be released as a print book and an eBook

Entry Dates: March 1, 2014 – June 16, 2014.

Winner will be announced by September 2014.
