[wherever] magazine seeking submissions for next issue
Travel is a very broad category. we travel using various means for various reasons, and whether you write about an escape, a journey, or a departure into a new beginning, [wherever] is interested. we are not excited by formulaic travel writing. pieces that inspire or move the reader to question themselves and their perceptions are welcome. we accept fiction submissions, but we especially love non-fiction narratives, such as interviews that tell us something new about a voyage or destination, thoughts about food, and stories about love. all the topics inspired by departure, movement, and distance.
[wherever] magazine approaches the world with an expansive definition of the term travel. we are therefore seeking long-form narratives, journalistic pieces, in addition to short non-linear, reflective works. our approach is to set serious writing and playful work side by side.
Submissions are not limited to written pieces — they love to publish visual compositions as well, be it drawings, paintings, photography, or any other media that can animate the pages of a printed journal.
