Deadline: September 30, 2014. In addition to book publication by Anhinga Press, the winner will receive a $2000 honorarium.

Peter Everwine was born in Detroit and raised in Western Pennsylvania. His most recent collections of poems are Listening Long and Late, University of Pittsburgh Press, 2013; and FROM THE MEADOW: SELECTED AND NEW POEMS, University of Pittsburgh Press, 2004. Other books include FIGURES MADE VISIBLE IN THE SADNESS OF TIME (2003), KEEPING THE NIGHT (1977), COLLECTING THE ANIMALS (1972), as well as four books of translations, two of Aztec poetry and two of the poetry of Nathan Zach. His honors include the Lamont Poetry Prize, an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature, and fellowships from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation. He has been a Fulbright senior lecturer in American Poetry at the University of Haifa, Israel, and is Professor Emeritus of English at California State University, Fresno.
