The Dermot Healy Poetry Prize 2014

Competition Rules:

Closing date for receipt of entries is midnight on the 15th July 2014 or post-dated for that day.

Entries submitted after this date will not be considered, but may be charged, so please ensure that entries are submitted on time.


Eligibility:


The Prize is open to everyone.

Entries must be entirely the original work of the entrant, but may have been previously published,self-published, e-published or broadcast.You can enter as many poems as you like.


Fees:
Entry fee is €5 per poem

Online payment should be made to competition@fiveglensartsfestival.com via PayPal.

Cheques and money orders should be made payable to ‘The Five Glens Arts Festival’, with the sender's name and address on the back.


Receipt of entry:

Enclose a self-addressed stamped postcard marked 'ACKNOWLEDGEMENT' if you require acknowledgment of receipt of your postal entry (include international reply coupon if entering from overseas).

Online entries are confirmed by the email receipt of your payment to PayPal.

Copyright:

Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author, but The Five Glens Arts Festival will have the unrestricted right to publish the winning poems as part of any promotional material arising from the competition.

Judging/Prizes:


The judge's (Dermot Healy's) decision is final and no individual correspondence can be entered into

Short-listed poets will be notified in writing/email by the end of July 2014 and and will be invited to a

attend the prize-giving ceremony during the festival where the winners will be announced.

The winning poet will be invited to read the winning entry during the festival.

Entry implies acceptance of all the rules. Failure to comply with the entry requirements will result in disqualification.
