The 2014 competition is now open.

Write us a short story on the subject of your choice.

2000 words maximum.

1st Prize £150
2nd Prize £100
3rd Prize £50 

Best story by a Northamptonshire writer (if not already a prize-winner) £50
Best story by a writer who is under 18 years old on the closing date for entries £50

The closing date for entries is Monday 3rd November 2014

The entry fee is £4 for each story (or £10 for three stories). It is £1 for Under 18 writers.

The Head Judge is Jane Wenham-Jones, author of 4 novels,
including One Glass Is Never Enough and Prime Time,
and the two Wannabe A Writer books.
