OPEN SUBMISSION PERIOD AT DOIRE PRESS - Deadline August 7th, 2014

Submissions are now open at Galway-based Doire Press for consideration of an individual full-length poetry or short story collection: July 7th, 2014 – August 7th, 2014.


Writers must live in Ireland.

Printed copies will only be accepted. Please send it to:

Short stories: please send the following:

1. Query (short letter introducing yourself, saying a bit about your manuscript and why you think you are a good fit for Doire Press)

2. Three short stories (12-font, double spaced, single-sided pages; no word limit)

3. Biographical note (including publication/award history, website or blog address, if you have one)

4. Contact information (including email address)



Poetry: please send the following:

1. Query (short letter introducing yourself, saying a bit about your manuscript and why you think you are a good fit for Doire Press)

2. Fifteen poems (12-font, single spaced, single-sided pages)

3. Biographical note (including publication/award history, website or blog address, if you have one)

4. Contact information (including email address)

We will respond to all submissions via email. Please note that it might take up to three months to get back to you. If we like your submission and think you might be a good fit, we will ask to see a full manuscript.

Please note: Manuscripts will not be returned unless you include a stamped self-addressed return envelope.
