Red Cross Creative writing competition - Deadline Friday 18 July 2014
The International Day of the Disappeared (30 August) commemorates people who have gone missing in situations of violence and armed conflict. The Red Cross works every day to restore contact between separated family members.
Now you can help give a voice to the thousands of missing people throughout the world by entering our creative writing competition.
The theme of the competition is ‘Searching’.
All entries – whether stories or poems – should be no more than 500 words.
There are two categories: adult and young (aged 16 or below on 30 August 2014).
The closing date is Friday 18 July. The winning entry will be announced on 30 August 2014.
Prizes and judging
The winning entries in each category will receive a £100 Amazon gift voucher. Two runners-up in each category will receive a £50 Amazon gift voucher.
Entries will be judged by a small panel of judges. Further information available shortly.
