August 2014 Short Horror Writing Contest Announced!
More info here
Write a short horror story inspired by the series of photographs shown below.
No one who has placed in the previous competition (June 2014) may enter this competition or the next month’s. The soonest the June winners can enter again will be in October 2014.
Then What Happens?
There will be open submissions thru 8/18/14. During that period, we will accept any and all stories written that were clearly inspired by the images below (assuming they did not violate our submission standards: click here to view those).
At the conclusion of the writing period, all entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges, including the production and narration staff at Chilling Tales for Dark Nights, and of the reviewed entries, ten (10)will be selected for publication to the website for general voting.
The ten (10) finalists will be posted to the website on 8/24 where they will be read and voted on by the general public for a period of one week
On 9/1, the top three stories, as determined by popular vote count, will be announced and assigned to our narrators to be produced for publication on our YouTube channel and website, complete with sound effects and music, with anticipated release dates prior to 9/30/14.
All entries will be considered for inclusion in our upcoming print and eBook horror anthologies
