Juliet Mushens with new client and 2014 Winner, Joanna Barnard

NEWS: The Bath Novel Award 2014 was won by debut writer Joanna Barnard for her novelDifferent. 2014 judge, Literary Agent Juliet Mushens read Joanna’s manuscript in four hours flat at her desk and said she immediately knew she’d found not only a winner, but also a writer she wanted to represent.

Juliet said: “Different is both page-turning and thought-provoking. It’s an exploration of sexuality, the fallibility of memory, and the lies we tell ourselves. An incredibly compelling read”
