Short Story Terms & Conditions
– Closing date Friday 20th February 2015
-Entries should be between 1000 to 3000 words.
-Entries may be on any theme.
-There is no limit to the number of submissions per person.
-Entries cost €10 for first entry and €5 per entry thereafter, cheque can be made payable to Hotel Doolin.
-Entries to be posted to Doolin Short Story Competition, Hotel Doolin, Doolin, Co. Clare.
-Ten shortlisted entries will be announced on the website on Friday 13th March.
-2 prize winning entries will be announced at the Doolin Writers’ Weekend, winners will be contacted at least 10 days prior to the event.
-Entries must be in English.
-The winning story must be available for publication in a Doolin Writers’ Weekend anthology in the future.
-Entry form can be downloaded here. Please do not put your name on the same page as your story.
-The judges’ verdict is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
-Entry is taken as acceptance of these rules

-The poetry contest is open to poets of any nationality writing in English. -There is no restriction on theme or style.
-Poem length is restricted to 300 words.
-The winning poems must be available for the Doolin Writers’ Weekend anthology in the future

-Judging is anonymous. Name and contact details must not appear on the poem, please fill in an application form which can be downloaded here -Entry is taken to be acceptance of these rules.
*Tramp Press(short story comp) and Salmon Poetry(poetry comp) will read a collection of the winners work with a view to publication. Tramp Press and Salmon Poetry are under no obligation to publish the works. Should the work be deemed unsuitable for publication Tramp Press and Salmon Poetry will provide one hour long consultation with the author(s) to deliver feedback and advice.
