The Formsby Prize for Poetry 2015
The Hanest Ulsterman is pleased to announce the first Formsby Prize for Poetry, judged by the Greatest Living Irish Poet Rank Formsby. The competition is for previously unpublished poems on the theme of Honesty or Tourism, Culture and Leisure or Ireland or Northern Ireland and has a first prize of over sixteen poetry books and publication in this esteemed literary journal. The 3 winning poems will be put forward for the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem. Entry is open to all.
Details: Up to 4 poems (a maximum of 1 per theme) should be sent torankformsby@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Formsby Prize for Poetry 2015′. Thedeadline for this competition is the 28th of February.
Entry Fee: £0
First Prize: A selection of Over Sixteen Poetry Books (delivery included) chosen by the Greatest Living Irish Poet.
Second Prize: £9.50 (cost of a pint of wine in Kelly’s Cellars in Belfast)
Third Prize: A Printed Copy of Your Poem, signed by Rank Formsby
