The 2015 Brighton Prize
The 2015 Brighton Prize is now open, with a £700 prize fund and the chance to perform to a live audience.
It will be judged by best-selling crime thriller novelist Peter James.
Peter has lived in and around Brighton for most of his life. His ten novel Roy Grace series is set in the city, and has sold 16 million copies worldwide. Read more about Peter.

We want short stories between 1000 and 2000 words long.
First prize: £500
2 runners up prizes: £100 each.
Writers of the top ten stories invited to read their story at our live show and prizegiving on 2nd November.
Top ten stories published by Rattle Tales.

What is the Brighton Prize?
The Brighton Prize is an annual short story prize run by Rattle Tales, Brighton’s interactive live literature night.
We started the prize in 2014 because we want to find exciting, challenging new writers, and bring their work to the Brighton stage.
This Blog is mainly about creative writing,writing competitions, writing contests, poetry contests,poetry competitions, writing quotes and other useful writing information. I will, when I find them, post information on writers' workshops, tutorials and other creative links. I hope you enjoy!
