Mslexia Women’s Pamphlet Competition
Separate from our competition for single poems, our annual pamphlet competition accepts completed collections. We ask for your pamphlets to be 20-24 pages long, and include 18-20 poems. The rest – length, style and content – is up to you!
1st prize: Publication of the pamphlet by Seren Books in 2016
Plus £250, 25 complimentary copies of the pamphlet, and a ten per cent royalty on sales. One or more poems from the pamphlet will be published in Mslexia.
Entry fee: £20 per pamphlet
Judge: Amy Wack (Seren Books)
Before entering please make sure you’ve read the competition rules and FAQs, detailed below. If you have any further questions, email poetry@mslexia.co.uk or call 0191 204 8860 to speak to a real person. Good luck!
‘I’ve been floating ever since. I’ve had many poems published in magazines and anthologies, but winning the pamphlet competition is a huge validation of my work as a whole, and a collection is something I’ve been striving for. My enormous thanks go to Mslexia and Amy Wack at Seren.’
