Ages 12-15 competitions
We are now accepting submissions for Fiction and Poetry and our deadline is 1st January. Please read the submission guidelines below before sending your entry to submissions@smallbutmightywriters.com and be sure to include your name, age and the email address we can contact you on. Good luck!
FICTION: Max. word count of 1500 words, no theme (write about what you want!)
POETRY: Max. of 20 lines, no theme (be as creative as you like!)
PRIZES:
Winners- A bundle of goodies to help with your writing AND your entry published on our website.
Runners up- An honourable mention on our website.
The deadline for our next competitions is midnight on the 1st of January, the winners will be announced in the following weeks. Please read our Submission Guidelines below before entering your story or poem.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Any one aged 7-15 can enter our competitions, wherever in the world you live but we ask that all entries are written in the English language.
All entries should be sent to submissions@smallbutmightywriters.com as an attachment or in the body of the email. Please include your name and the email address we can contact you on if you win (a parent’s email is fine, but please get their permission first).
Include your age, then we can put your entry into the right age category to make sure everyone is judged fairly.
The word count for entries in the 12-15 yrs category is 1500 for fiction and 20 lines for poetry.
You are free to write about anything, there are no themes or restrictions.
Any entries sent after midnight on the deadline will not be entered in the competition but will be considered for the next competition.
We ask all of our winners to give other writers a chance and leave 5 months before entering another one of our competitions. But have a look at our Get Involved page for information on the other opportunities to have your writing published on our website.
