2015 James Knudsen Prize #seanocarolan.com #writing #Contest #Competition







WINNER will receive $1,000 and a year's subscription to Bayou Magazine, and will be considered for publication. FINALISTS will be named on our website. Our 2015 Judge for the James Knudsen Prize in Fiction is David James Poissant.
Submissions must be original, previously unpublished works of fiction, no longer than 7500 words.
Reading fee: $20, includes a contest issue of Bayou Magazine.
You may enter more than one story, but each submission must be uploaded separately with its own cover letter and entry fee.
We accept novel excerpts if the submission can stand alone as a complete short story.
Please enter your cover letter with your name, address, phone number, email address, and the title of your submission into our online form. DO NOT include your name on the pages of the story. Any story with identifying material will be disqualified.

Note: UNO students and alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years are not eligible for publication in Bayou Magazine. All current and former Bayou staff, as well as current or former students and associates of the contest judge, are ineligible to submit.
