LITERARY TAXIDERMY SHORT STORY COMPETITION
Calling All Writers — Regulus Press invites you to enter the 2018 LITERARY TAXIDERMY SHORT STORY COMPETITION for your chance to win up to $1500 in cash as well as publication in the next Literary Taxidermy Anthology.
To enter, writers must produce an original story of up to 3000 words in any genre. The catch: We provide your opening and closing lines chosen from a classic work of literature. You provide the rest. This year's literary taxidermy draws its opening and closing lines from The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett, Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll, and "A Telephone Call" by Dorothy Parker. To participate, you must write your own short story that starts and ends with the same opening and closing lines as one of these three classic works.
Sign up for our mailing list. We'll send you competition updates and reminders (and NO SPAM), so you're always up-to-date.
The competition deadline is 04 June 2018 at 12:00 PM PST. That means you have 39 days, 0 hours, 15 minutes, and 50 seconds remaining to submit your work. Learn more below — and get writing!
