A Science Fiction Ghost Story
At Christmas, everyone enjoys the thrill of a ghost story. This year, we want a science fictional ghostly tale to scare the bejeesus out of us. You have 1,000 words, starting now.
Prizes:
£50 for the winning story plus 1 year digital subscription to Shoreline of Infinity. Two runners-up will receive 1 year digital subscription to Shoreline of Infinity.
The top three stories will be published in Shoreline of Infinity – all three finalists will receive a print copy of this edition.
The Detail
Maximum 1,000 words, one story per submitter.
The story must not have been published previously.
Deadline for entries: 11.59pm (UK time) 5th September 2021.
There’s no entry fee, but on the submission entry form you will be asked for a certain word from issue 23 of Shoreline of Infinity as your key, hence: competition for Shoreline of Infinity Readers.

Our judging panel (details to be confirmed) will not begin work until after the deadline, so use the time to polish that tale ’til it glistens.
